Planning & Designing
Designing your own kitchen may seem like a daunting process, but who else knows your home better than you?

Answer the following questions as a guide for consideration points when beginning the kitchen design process:

  • What do you like about your current kitchen?
  • What do you dislike?
  • Do you require a lot of space in your kitchen?
Yes - you may wish to incorporate a number of pantries in your design or extend storage space outside your kitchen into other adjoining rooms
  • Does your new kitchen need to be extremely durable to cater for a growing family?
Yes - consider using textured vinyl wrap finishes and darker colours to hide everyday marks and small dents on panels
  • How many people are in your kitchen at one time on average?
More people require more floor space to prevent congestion
  • Is your kitchen used for more than just food preparation and cooking?

  • Do you also use your kitchen for work, entertaining or as an additional living area?
  • Will you be purchasing new appliances or will you be incorporating existing appliances into the design?

Once you have a very general idea of what you would like in your new kitchen, the next step is to measure the space available.
